Community Fundraising

Find out what you can do to support young people

Community fundraising for Youthline is all about people like you doing great things for our young people.

There are lots of ways you can get involved to help raise money for Youthline. Giving your time and energy to raise money for our services can be rewarding and fun, especially if you get your friends and family involved. If really doesn't matter how much you raise, small amounts really add up and help to support young people who need our help.

Fundraising is a personal thing and it should be fun - choose something that you enjoy getting involved with. You could join an organised event, run your own fundraiser, donate through your payroll, or participate in a sporting event. If you are in need of some fundraising inspiration, here are a few ideas to get you started or you can download our Fundraising Pack for more tips on how to run a successful event. We have some tips and tricks to run a successful event to help us support over 24,000 young people every year.

Cakes and Cookies

Who can resist a homemade cake? Bake some treats and take them into school or the office - a guaranteed way to make some cash!

Charity Quiz

Running a pub quiz night is a great way to get Youthline's name out there and raise money at the same time. Encourage friends to form teams and get competitive! Check out the internet for help with quiz sessions.

Clothes Swap

This is a brilliant way to get a new wardrobe while raising funds for Youthline. Invite your friends to bring their unwanted clothes to your event, pay a fiver for entry and let the swapping commence! Guests will receive a token for every item they bring they can then use to 'buy' other items. This is a really simple and fun way to raise money.

We have heaps more awesome ideas! If you're interested and need more information please email events@youthline.co.nz and we'd be happy to help.
