Youthline Auckland Central

Youthline Auckland Central is based in Ponsonby and is home to over fifty paid staff and hundreds of volunteers. There is so much going on in the centre throughout the day and night. Youthline Auckland Central is a place where people can come together and thrive.

The Auckland Central Centre team comprises of the Specialty Call Centre, Face to Face Counselling Team, Youth Development Team, Alternative Education Unit, Thyme Out at Maidstone Deli and the Front of House Administration and maintenance teams.

 “Thyme Out at Maidstone” Deli provides a physical space for people to come together over great coffee, scones, slices, soups and sandwiches and some free style art on the blackboards. Come in and see us from 8.30am – 5.00pm for a coffee. Breakfast is now being served each Wednesday from 8.30am. Eggs, Bacon, Creamy Mushrooms, Hash browns and more are all on the breakfast menu at a very reasonable price. We can also provide catering for your next event or meeting. Youthline Auckland Centrals counselling rooms, group rooms and meeting rooms (equipped with audio visual) are also available to hire, with catering available if required. For more information please contact  

Youthline also offers an extensive list of services in the Auckland region. This includes face-to-face counselling, family therapy, a pregnancy centre and an alternative education school for those excluded from mainstream education.

With the support of Baxter International and Health Connections, Youthline is now offering a free, confidential, youth friendly Youth Health Service at Youthline House in Grey Lynn including testing, prescriptions and general check ups.

It’s open to all young people under 25 in the Auckland region – 3-6pm on Wednesdays.
